BEIJING - China has decommissioned its first nuclear-powered submarine after more than 40 years of service in the military, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Daily reported Tuesday.
北京消息，据《解放军报》周二报道，中国解密了其执行了40余年任务的首支核潜艇。

【讲解】

nuclear-powered submarine是核潜艇。
这艘潜艇的核装置（nuclear device）已经被妥善处理（be properly disposed of），科研人员已经将储存核装置的仓库（warehouse）进行了去污处理（decontaminate）。这艘潜艇从军队退役（release from military service）后，将作为参观展品（exhibit）。
中国首支核潜艇名为“长征一号”（the Long March No 1），于1970年建造完毕下水，1974年正式编入中国海军（PLA navy）。“长征一号”属于091型（Type 091）汉级核潜艇（Han Class nuclear-powered submarine），采用50年代至60年代的技术建造（produced based on technologies of the 1950s and 1960s），搭载短程武器（short range weapons），排水量（displacement）约5000吨，配备（is equipped with）有六枚鱼雷发射管（torpedo tubes）。
